3M PRODUCT RANGE

During recent years, 3M has built on its static control portfolio through the acquisition of specialist companies in this area, recently including SCC and Credence Technologies, both among the leaders in this field. Subsequently, 3M is expanding its static control business in the semiconductor, hard disc drive, and flat panel display industries. The range includes personnel grounding, workstation kits and equipment, packaging materials, cleaning, storage, flooring and testers.

3M has more than 50 different types of cable products available, covering various pitches, across: flat; flat and round; and discrete wire round cables. Formats include twisted-pair, pleated-foil, jacketed, shielded and ground plane cables.

All 3M cable products are fully RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant and are designed to operate within often challenging environments.

3M has a range of connectors for a variety of applications, designed to help product designers and manufacturers overcome three of the main challenges they face today: increased communication speeds; the demand for higher density; and cost-effectiveness.

Examples within the 3M range include the MDR and SDR product ranges, which provide small pitches ideal for reduced interface dimensions.
